What a handsome fellow this one is. The Greater Spotted Woodpecker, seen more easily with the leafless trees against some now beautiful blue skies.

He drums away on that bark, and thankfully doesn’t give himself a headache, due to a special bone called the hyoid bone which wraps around his skull, and protects his brain.

The need to drill endlessly into the trees is not just to nest but to communicate, and he has cleverly figured out that if he chooses the harder dead trees, his messages will carry further. Clever chap!

Well our messages Sunday carried to the edge of our Sanctuary!

The fledglings were up!! I think just about everyone got a message or connection. Well done and thank you Sarah, Chris Elliot and Alison!!

The fledglings were under the watchful eye of Nerina chairing the evening, and Steve holding the fort at the back. Such a supportive atmosphere. Thank you for beautiful prayers and readings, and some really nice hymns. Thank you Lisa for running our music. Thankyou Carol for yummy cake, Food angel Sue and our Healers and everyone who helps on a Sunday evening!!

Prayer of the week.

Please pray for our Leaders in this world. So much rests on them to make compassionate wise decisions.

Calendar up next.

Layer up. Some days are stunning but so cold!! Take your Vitamin C and have a beautiful week everyone!!
