It seems like everything is waiting to and really wanting to bloom, as we near the season’s change. I remarked to Mr Shackleton on the way to Church recently about the beautiful blooms of white roadside, and he informed me that they were Blackthorn.
Blackthorn is one of the early bloomers, but it is really early this year and it is fully blooming around these parts. The thorns are very witchy and spiny and the blooms are white and are both male and female.
After the bloom which is pollination, will come the blackish berries used to make the more old fashioned Sloe gin!! Yum. Anyone know how?
In folklore he is seen in a dual sense, as Christian myth and folklore have him as a trickster, and yet hold him as a symbol for strength and overcoming adversity. Like most things, it is always a choice.
We had a lovely Coffee and Clairvoyance Saturday and managed to do altogether twenty nine readings!! Thank you to our visiting mediums, Lesley Knight and Sarah Norris. Nerina was busy giving readings, and the fledgelings also, with Ken and Barbara offering healing. The baked goods were just divine. Thank you Sue and anyone else who assisted in that department.
Sunday, we had a lovely evening in Chawton with old friends dropping in to see us, which was a treat. Sarah McLaughlan was our visiting medium, and we had a lovely time with her inspired message of Love and compassion. She also brought some lovely messages!! Thank you so much Sarah!!
Chris Shore chaired the evening wonderfully, and the readings and prayers held the energy high. Thank you to our Healers, and Food Angel Sue, bringing out many goodies from Saturday, and Julie on music.
Prayer of the week.
Please pray for Peace in this world. We hold that Leaders actually think about the people, the land and their inhabitants as they make their decisions.
Calendar up next.
Seize the Spring like days. It won’t be long!!
