And just like that there was calm and even blue skies in these parts after Storm Bert ravaged the UK. There will still be some strong gusts expected up till mid day Tuesday in these parts. This was the second storm of the season this year following Storm Ashley in October. The River Taff burst its’ banks in Wales and it has caused such havoc. There has been loss of life in different places, and our hearts go out to those families coping with this loss. The awful weather caused Gillian Blaize to have to cancel her visit with us but we know how treacherous the roads were.
Fortunately we had a ray of sunshine in our back pocket and Sarah Dorgan one of our own stepped forward to serve, and gave us a wonderful evening. She shared inspired thoughts that prompted us to think when plans go awry and things appear to go wrong, that maybe there is a point or a silver lining to it all, and then she brought our lovely messages for the evening. So well done Sarah!! Thank you
The evening was chaired by Alison Keogh as we heard beautiful prayers and readings and sang some lovely hymns!! Thank you Lisa for running the music. Cake was on hand as always. Thank you Carole. Healers on hand also. Thank you to all who set up and break down each week.
Prayer of the week.
Please pray for the carers and helpers in this world.
You see them pulling others out of rubble in war zones. You see them helping with the flooding situations, especially now in Wales. You have people taking care of our aging loved ones in care homes, whether doctors, nurses or carers. You have people fighting for justice to help people who are vulnerable. You have those fighting to help animals and who tend and advocate for them. These are the earth angels. They make this sometimes harsh world a little gentler. Please pray for those who help others whoever those others may be.
Calendar up next.
Keep warm Keep dry. It is definitely going to get colder!!
