I spied the most stunning Wood Pigeon today at the bird feeder, and then he was gone. Most of these visitors can barely take flight, after guzzling at the feeding station. They are very common in our woodlands, especially here in the south east of the UK, and they are much larger than their city cousins.

They nest in the trees or sometimes hedges and lay precisely two eggs and feed their young ones pigeon milk which they produce from their oesophagus which contains a lot of the protein and fat needed for their young. They can live for about six years, although one has been reported as living for seventeen! Their spiritual symbolism is one of peace and divine guidance.

There was plenty of that last night in Chawton as we reconvened for out New Year. We had not one, but three mediums last night, bringing the messages and explaining how they were perceiving that information. They brought many lovely helpful messages between them. Thank you Rob, Sarah and Virginia!! Thank you also to Chris Shore who stepped in to chair beautifully, as always at the last minute.

We heard beautiful prayers and readings and sang some lovely hymns, followed of course by cake and more cake. Carole did not disappoint and was actually presented with a bouquet that she wasn’t able to receive at Christmas. Thank you for the music also.

Thank you to healers carrying on the work, and all those who set up and break down each week.

Prayer of the week.

Please pray for the people and animals of Southern California as they continue to battle and recover from the extreme devastation of these wildfires.

Calendar up next..

It is chilly, and still icy out there…Go very easy.. !!
