Like many I was living in hope that we would in fact get an Indian Summer, with bursts of sunshine amidst the rain, but I see in the woods, the deciduous ferns have already started to turn to their Autumnal colour, so our hopes seem to have been dashed.

Autumn is such a beautiful season especially if it is not too harsh, and although ferns can be evergreen, it is the deciduous ones that give a beautiful orange colour to spruce up our country and rural areas. They all reproduce via spores and there are so many varieties that are native. They are ancient plants that have probably been around for some 300 million years!! They were considered very sacred to the Druids. The Celtic folk carried them for good luck and a little bird tells me the fairies are very attracted to them.

We gathered after the thunder of the day yesterday in Chawton for our Divine service with visiting medium Deb Clarke. What a lovely evening. Deb is new to us, and we so enjoyed having her and will look forward to her coming again. She brought lovely detailed messages for some lucky folks, and it was a very relaxed fun evening. Thank you so much Deb!! Steve gave us an address reminding us about love and family whether it be our own or the families we create around us. Chris Shore chaired the evening beautifully for us.

Thanks to our readers, Julie on music, Miss Carole with 3 cakes, and of course our healers.

Thank you to all who set up and break down each and every week.

Prayer of the week.

Please pray for the desolate and lonely in this world, whether in war torn countries and regions or whether sat at home, alone and isolated. We all have experienced loneliness, and it can be a very grey place.

Calendar up next!

Have a beautiful week as we step into the coming season…

We shared a lovely evening on zoom last night, with healing to follow. Thank you everyone for prayers and readings.

Please continue to pray for our leaders in this world. We are so reliant on them making good prudent decisions, as they affect the lives of so many.

Deb Clarke is with us on Sunday in Chawton. Join us!!

What a feast!! The blackberries are out in earnest and everyone is taking advantage. With the amount of apples I was given at Church last night, I have no more excuses, I have to make an apple and blackberry pie…

The brambles have gone wild this year and the blackberry crop looks really good, probably because of all the rain we have had come our way,. Those pretty little white blossoms of early Spring gave way to a green fruit turning red and then to black and ready for all to enjoy. They have a very high antioxidant content and are very good for you..

But beware, according to folklore, Don’t eat them after the 29th September for the devil is said to spit on them, rendering them unfit to eat.. It’s amazing how these stories start.

Last night was our Healing Service in Chawton. What a beautiful evening of readings, prayers, and Rob spoke about different kinds of healing that is needed. The healing took place during the service, and as usual it was a very serene and peaceful evening.

A big chocolate cake welcomed us after the service, from Miss Carole, and tea and coffee was on hand as we took a little extra time to catch up with each other.

Thank you to our hospitality, Lisa on music, our readers, and of course our healers, as well as everyone who washes up, sets up and breaks down each week.

Prayer of the week.

Please pray for our leaders. May they receive healing so that they can make prudent decisions for others in this world.

Calendar up next.
