If you haven’t caught up with my latest blogs, here are three recent posts looking at some of the questions I am regularly asked about the spirit world.
This time, I’m looking at how those in spirit can guide us without interfering with our free will, why believing you’ve been cursed can sometimes create its own fear, and why children may naturally be more sensitive to the spirit world.
Here’s what you may have missed.
How the Spirit World Can Guide You Without Taking Away Your Free Will
If our loved ones are still around us after they have passed, why can’t they simply tell us what decisions to make?
This is something I am asked regularly.
I believe those in spirit can guide us, place thoughts into our minds and help us along the way, but there is an important boundary: free will.
We are here to live our own lives, make our own decisions and learn through our experiences. Those in spirit can help and guide us, but they cannot live our lives for us.

Have You Really Been Cursed? A Medium’s Perspective on Fear, Free Will and Spiritual Protection
I regularly hear from people who are convinced that somebody has placed a curse on them.
Sometimes they believe it is black magic, voodoo or another form of spiritual attack. Once that fear takes hold, it can become very easy to connect every problem in life with the supposed curse.
But how much power does a curse really have?
In this blog, I explain why fear itself can become part of the problem, the importance of understanding your own free will, and why we shouldn’t automatically give another person or spiritual influence power over our lives.

Why Children Can Be More Sensitive to the Spirit World
Can children see and sense things from the spirit world that adults no longer notice?
Children can sometimes appear naturally more sensitive to spirit. They haven’t necessarily developed the same doubts, expectations and barriers that we acquire as we get older.
As somebody who sat in my first spiritual circle at just six years old, this is a subject that connects closely with my own experiences growing up around mediumship.
In this blog, I explore why some children may be more spiritually sensitive, what they might experience and why we should be careful about immediately dismissing what they tell us.

More From Rob Harvey
Although these three blogs explore very different subjects, they all come back to something I believe is incredibly important: understanding the spirit world without becoming frightened of it.
Our loved ones can be close without controlling our lives. Fear doesn’t need to give a supposed curse power over us. And when children talk about sensing something we cannot see, sometimes it is worth listening before immediately dismissing their experience.
There is still so much we don’t understand about the spirit world. Even after a lifetime involved in mediumship, I continue to learn from the experiences and situations I encounter.
