We gathered yesterday in Chawton for our All Creatures Great and Small animal service. We heard beautiful readings, prayers stories and a humourous poem, along with an address concerning a cheeky parrot and a macho ostrich.

There was a story of a beautiful supernatural experience when a beloved horse passed, and a recollection of a very sad and soggy hedgehog who dried out and did just fine.

The table displayed photographs of animal friends, both past and present, and a very cute but feisty Jack Russell helped preside over proceedings, growling occasionally when she didn’t like the look of the next reader!

Thank you Rob for bringing Mustang, and for your address, and to Chris for her lovely offerings and for chairing the service for us. And thank you to everyone who came along and helped make it such a special gathering.

Cake and hospitality were amazing! Thank you. Thank you Julie for running our music. And thank you to our ever ready healers, and also all the help we get with setup, breakdown and washing up!

PRAYER OF THE WEEK

No surprises here. Please pray for the animals in this world. So many are in awful circumstances.

The leaves are turning. The colours are coming, and they are spectacular!

Have a lovely week!!
