Walking into my dark kitchen to force myself to have some green tea before retiring, I thought there had been a snowfall, for my garden was lit up in luminous white. It was, of course, the light from the full Hunter’s Moon. That moon had accompanied us all the way home from church last night, and earlier that day I was singing along with a beautiful song holding many memories. ‘It’s a wonderful night for a moondance.’
The Hunter’s Moon is generally the October full moon, but sometimes occurs in November, and is named so because she gave extra light and clearer vision to those hunting in days gone by. The leaves that had fallen also gave clearer visibility to hunters and not much camouflage for the hunted! Different Native American traditions also give names such as the ‘Freezing Moon’ and ‘Falling Leaves Moon.’
Her spiritual symbolism is that of preparedness and getting ready for what is ahead, and also a letting go of old habits and ways, ready to embrace the new. She did become full before most of us rose this morning in the UK, at 4.12 am, but she will still be gorgeous if the skies clear tonight.
Spencer Rose, our good friend, visited last night. He shared some truly inspired thoughts straight from spirit and gave some very detailed messages. We do love it when you visit us, Spencer. Thank you so much!
Thanks to Steve for chairing in his relaxed style. And thank you to our readers, who were new to reading for the family. It was so nice to hear their beautiful prayers and readings. Thank you.
Carole had a blitz with cakes. Thank you! Julie ran our music. And we thank our healers, as always, and everyone who sets up, breaks down, and washes up!
Prayer of the week
Please pray for World Peace. Situations in this world demand it.
Whatever the weather this evening, it will still be a lovely night for a moondance!
Keep those thoughts high!
Have a beautiful week!
