As we welcome yet another week of full summer, from the morning’s gentle light, through the bright days and into those soothing summer evenings, we are aware that another heatwave is on the way.

We also welcome a week where Divine Geometry will briefly dominate the skies on Wednesday evening.

Before the sun dips below the horizon, we will experience an impressive solar eclipse, the likes of which have not been seen since 1999. And if you think this is no big deal, another one of this kind will not come our way until 2050.

A solar eclipse occurs when the moon moves into position between the sun and the earth, darkening the skies for a brief time.

From our vantage point in the southern part of the UK, we will see it in the western skies during the early evening. And, in addition the moon may appear slightly larger than usual, due to an optical illusion.

The spiritual symbolism of these particular events has often been associated with profound transformation, the revealing of hidden truths and sudden new beginnings.

We can only imagine how the ancients felt. We do know they were filled with fear and awe, believing that the wrath of the gods was playing out before their very eyes. How they must have grappled to understand what they were witnessing.

So, grab your special glasses, keep your eyes safe, and don’t miss this beautiful celestial event.

And I think our healing will take on an even more special sentiment this Wednesday evening.

Last night we welcomed our friend Jim Demitri to us in Chawton.  What a lovely time we had, as Jim shared his inspired thoughts and brought our messages with much humour. Thank you so much Jim!!  Our lovely Nerina chaired the evening beautifully, and they made a good team

We are marching steadily towards August, and we have had a little break in the temperatures. It is still warm, but there are cooler mornings and evenings, and a welcome cooler breeze sometimes during the day. It feels like we have been spoiling for a massive thunderstorm in these parts, and we did have a little rain yesterday.

Speaking of the coming thunderstorms, the coming Thunder Moon, or Buck Moon, was clear and luminous in the sky as we drove back from church last night. It was a few days prior to full, but still absolutely beautiful in the heavens above.

How do these moons get their romantic names? They are usually tied to seasonal events. The stunning Buck Moon hails from Native American culture, as the male deer shed their antlers around this time, and the Thunder Moon is simply the time when thunderstorms are most probable during the summer’s build-up of heat and electrical charge.

There is something celebratory about moonlight, especially when you can see the beauty of the sun’s light reflecting off this natural satellite orbiting our earthly home in the spring and summer months.

Far from being myth, the moon does affect us. Our physical bodies are made up of approximately sixty percent water, and if the moon creates the tides through its gravitational pull, it most certainly affects us.

Concerning myth, folklore, and symbolism, there is a craziness associated with the full moon, that is, lunacy, and she is closely linked with the element of water and the feminine aspects we all have,: empathy, intuition, nurturing, and receptivity. It is also a time when we can get especially emotional, so its best to keep our thoughts high, whatever is going on. The Buck/Thunder July Moon will be seen full from Thursday evening all through Friday. Enjoy!

Well, we had a wonderful Sunday again in Chawton. Ann Marie Hogan came to visit us and shared beautiful thoughts and brought our lovely messages, along with laughter. Thank you so much, Ann Marie! Our Steve was at the helm, guiding the evening so well. Thank you Steve!

The readings and prayers were just lovely. Thank you, everyone. Thank you, Lisa, for the music. Thank you, Carole and Sue, for the hospitality, and what an array of baked goods!

Thank you for the set-up and breakdown of the evening, along with all the washing up, and always a special thank you to our healers for bringing the healing energies through from the unseen ones.

Please pray for all those in this world affected by these devastating natural disasters. Humankind are not the only ones affected.

Well, summer is back in full force, and she is glorious. May we relish every drop of her. The nights have not disappointed either. The Sturgeon Moon, our August moon, became full on Saturday, August 9th. She was so named by the Native American fishing tribes after the freshwater fish so abundant at one time in the Great Lakes of North America. The colonists adopted the name, and it has remained ever since. She did not rise far above the horizon and so created an almost magnified effect of a larger and very orange moon as the sunlight illuminated her.

Not to be outdone, the Perseid meteor shower is still in full force, peaking on the 13th of August, and we also have a spectacular planetary lineup right now. We are indeed blessed by day and blessed by night.

And last night, we were blessed as Sarah Norris came to visit, bringing the energy of Spirit in such abundance. Sarah shared some wonderfully inspired and uplifting thoughts and then went on to also bring our lovely messages. What a lovely night of upliftment. Thank you so much Sarah! Alison Keogh chaired our evening.

Prayer of the week

Please pray for a massive Spiritual awakening for this planet, especially for those who wage war and greed, and who have such power. May they feel a shift in their being. May they understand that the consequences of their hate legacies will not disappear with death. Change always starts with the heart.
